OUR STORY
Brooke and Renee founded the Collaborative Bar Learning Center (CBLC) with a simple goal: to create continuing legal education that is substantive, ethical, and grounded in the realities of practice. CBLC exists to serve lawyers and judges who want more than credit hours — who want deeper conversations about how the law intersects with people, communities, and responsibility.

CBLC programming emphasizes rigorous legal analysis alongside trauma-informed approaches and professional judgment. We believe that better lawyering strengthens the administration of justice and the communities it serves.

Brooke has practiced as a prosecutor, public defender, and private practitioner, bringing firsthand insight into the pressures and complexities attorneys navigate across systems. Renee has 30 years of experience as a paralegal, working primarily in business and complex litigation, managing the complex dynamics between the real world and legalese. Together, they are committed to building thoughtful, high-caliber CLEs that reflect both legal precision and lived experience.

CBLC is built on collaboration, curiosity, and a belief that legal education should evolve with the profession it serves.
